Museum Management on a Shoe-String Workshop

 

Register at at 9:30am and join us for morning tea and the Wheatlands Chapter AGM.  Afterward find spare time to explore Toodyay’s historic main street with its many specialty shops, as well as the two museum sites – Connor’s Mill and the Newcastle Gaol Museum. Free entry to both sites for Wheatbelt Chapter members.

Time: 9.30am for registration, morning tea, and AGM
Lunch: 11.30 – 12pm (contributions towards costs of lunch and morning tea appreciated).

Museum Management on a Shoe-String Workshop:

After lunch we will adjourn to the Newcastle Gaol Museum Workshop and Archival Facility for a free workshop.

This workshop will be conducted by Ellen Parrick from Brookton and Margie Eberle from Toodyay. Sharing ideas and experiences.
Proposed topics to be covered: Textiles; Framed objects; Photographs; Shelving; Maps; Archival materials-Boxes, Tissues, Mylar & Tyvec; and Exhibitions on a budget.

Time: 1 – 2.30pm
Place: Newcastle Gaol Museum Workshop, next to the Old Police Stables and opposite the Gaol, 14 Clinton Street, Toodyay.

Afternoon tea: provided at conclusion of workshop
Cost: Free
